Blast Monitoring at Panandhro Lignite Mine tostudy the impacts in Fulra village (July’ 11).
Basting studies carried out by J N Vyas University, M B M Engineering College, Jodhpur
Date of Blasting Studies 27th July'11
Location of study instruments Near Jama Masjid & Idgah in Fulra Village
Distance of blasting site 700m & 600m respectively for Near Jama Masjid & Idgah from location of study instruments
DGMS Standards of vibration 15 mm for blasting frequency above 25Hz
DGMS Standards of Air blast 115 dB (L) Threshold limits of public complains (Dishes and Windows rattles)
Villagers representative Mr Sumar Abdullah Sumar and Mr Daud Jaru Jat
Results observed for aforesaid blasting practices Result of measurement at both monitoring station shows that vibration and sound pressure level were below the trigger value of instrument, hence it is indicated that the intensity of vibration produced by the blasts under monitoring were safe.
Conclusion

AS per the studies carried out by J N Vyas University, Jodhpur; it is concluded that the present blasting practices adopted at the lignite mine Panandhro under study is Safe and there is no danger to any structure due to ground vibration produce during the blasting.

The air over pressure (Sound Level) due to blasting is well within the limits specified by DGMS.
